Dancing Classrooms - Year 2

What started as a brand-new program has quickly become a new tradition for all 5th graders. For the second consecutive year, the Dieringer Education Foundation was proud to support Dancing Classrooms wth a $7,500 Grant, giving every 5th grade student the opportunity to learn, perform, and grow through dance.

Over the course of the program, students learned six different dances representing cultures from around the world. Their hard work and dedication culminated in two special performances—first at a school assembly and then during an evening performance for family and friends.

But the experience didn’t end there. A select group of students went on to represent Dieringer at a regional Dancing Classrooms competition, where they competed against other schools and brought home 1st place!

The success of Dancing Classrooms is about much more than learning dance steps. Students develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, and an appreciation for cultures from around the world—all while creating memories they will carry with them long after 5th grade.
